A high-growth specialty pharmaceutical company, Akorn needed a corporate brand that would elevate its stature among customers, investors, and employees.
As the result of multiple acquisitions and strong organic growth, Akorn had become a major player in the specialty generic pharmaceuticals category. Their corporate brand, however, didn’t capture the many positive things they had achieved; both customers and employees undervalued the company’s capabilities.
To turn this situation around, VDLA worked with the Akorn executive leadership team and developed a bold new positioning, tagline, and visual brand identity to help Akorn compete more effectively against pharma’s global giants. Following our brand work, Akron announced it will be acquired by a global healthcare firm at a significant price premium.
